Spanish has two different tenses for talking about the past tense (the preterito and the imperfecto).

The preterito is used to talk about a single completed action in the past(usually we indicate this in English by using -ed) and the imperfecto is used to talk about an ongoing action in the past (usually we indicate this in English by using was...ing/ were... ing).

There are some words that are typically used with one tense or the other. These are on page 5 in your worksheet package. The top list of words is used with the preterito and the bottom list with he imperfecto.

Here are the notes for how to conjugate using the imperfect. Use them to complete page 15.
